Can Claude read all of my files?

Once you approve the connection, Claude can read and work with what you allowed until you turn its access off in Settings, under Connector Sessions. That cuts it off right away.

Can Claude check me in or pause my deadman switch?

No. Claude can set up a switch, but it cannot check you in, pause, fire or delete a switch. Those stay with you in the KinSwitch app.

What can I ask Claude to do in KinSwitch?

How to connect Claude to KinSwitch

Add the connector. In Claude (the desktop app or claude.ai), open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste https://kinswitch.app/mcp. Other assistants that support MCP connectors have a similar step.
Approve the connection. Claude opens your browser so you can sign in and choose what it can reach: notes, documents, switches or beneficiaries.
That's it. Claude can start right away. Turn its access off or back on anytime in Settings, under Connector Sessions.
